Arrival in Italy

You will be met at Venice Marco Polo airport then taken by water taxi to your hotel in the historic centre of Venice. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax in your hotel or to step out and explore the city at your own pace. In the late afternoon you will take a gondola ride along the beautiful Grand Canal and canals interspersed with little bridges.

Explore Venice

Today, you’ll take in the beauty of Venice on a walking tour of the ‘Floating City’. The morning will see you take on the most iconic sights of Venice, including the Piazza San Marco, regarded as the religious and cultural centre of the city, and Doge’s Palace, as well as the grandeur of St Mark’s Basilica, the Bell Tower and the Clock Tower. The afternoon will be yours to explore the city as you wish or perhaps base yourself in a square with a bottle of wine to watch the world go by.

Travel to Lake Garda

You get a private water taxi to the main train station in Venice to pick up the fast train to Desenzano del Garda. A private driver is waiting to take you to your hotel on the shore of Lake Garda. The rest of the day is up to you- whether it's walking along the waterfront or enjoying the excitement of Lake Garda Boat Tours.

Tour of the Lake Villages

On your first full day, you can enjoy a part-coach and part-boat tour of Lake Garda that takes you on a relaxing journey along the romantic Gardesana, which is one of Europe’s most scenic roads. There will be stops at the most picturesque villages and there will also be the chance for a boat trip on the great lake.

Visit Verona

No Northern Italy Tours would be complete without visiting the undeniably romantic city of Verona. Set as the backdrop to Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, this charming city has much to admire, as you will discover on this full-day guided tour. As a part of the experience, you will see the epic Arena and glorious examples of refined Italian architecture, including Juliet’s famous balcony.

Wine-tasting Experience

Today you will have the pleasure of tasting some exceptional wines from the Veneto region with a wine-tasting experience. Today you will be picked up from your hotel by a private driver, and taken directly to a private estate to explain the Veneto wine-making process and to sample vintage Veneto wines.

Leisure Day

Today is yours to explore the lake at your leisure. Perhaps you wish to take a look at the colorful buildings in Sirmione or enjoy sun-dried fish at one of many restaurants on the waterfront in Desenzano del Garda.

Goodbye Italy

Arrivederci, Italia! Your private driver will take you to the airport for your return flight home.
