Arrive in Florence. On arrival, our driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel to become acquinted with Florence at your leisure. It is finally time to leave Florence and go to the crying city of Rome! Upon arrival in Rome, you will depart for a spiritual tour to learn about the centuries of history that lie within the walls of the Vatican City! You will begin your tour at the Vatican Museums, and then check out the incredible spiral staircase to explore the many rooms and galleries as you work your way towards the most famous chapel in the world - the Sistine Chapel! You will see the magnificent fresco of the Last Judgement created by Michelangelo! Afterwards, you will have some free time to explore the incredible St Peters Basilica! Discover Imperial Rome

After a free morning, you’ll enjoy an afternoon tour of ancient Rome on foot. Beginning at Piazza Venezia, you’ll then head to the famous Piazza Del Campidoglio, designed by Michelangelo, where you’ll have a fantastic view of the Roman Forum. Then you will continue your tour and head to Circus Maximus which is one of the largest sporting venues ever built. The last part of the walking tour is getting into the world-famous Colosseum from where your guide will speak about anything and everything you would ever want to know about this iconic building.

Tour of Classic Rome

Today, you’ll explore some of Rome’s most iconic sights on this tour of classic Rome with your local guide. As part of your Italy Rome Vacations, you’ll begin your stroll through the historic centre, where you can admire the Trevi Fountain, La Colonna di Marco Aurelio, the Palazzo di Montecitorio and Palazzo Madama – the seat of the Senate and Piazza Navona. You can visit its beautiful buildings, which are a tribute to its history, before moving on to Ravello to explore its ancient stone streets and stunning cliff-top gardens.

Sorrento Farm & Food Tour

Leisure Day in Sorrento or Explore Herculaneum

Today you can either have one day of leisure or a time travel experience by touring Herculaneum. Herculaneum was the famous site of the remains of a once prosperous port city that was destroyed in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, aka Pompeii, in 79AD. For decades, Herculaneum was covered in layers of ash making it hidden and undiscovered. The remains of Herculaneum are quite well preserved and provide a different image of how ancient life was if compared to Pompeii.
