Florence

Day 1: Welcome to Italy!

Your Italy and Paris tour begins in the Renaissance city of Florence: a place where you can see artistic masterpieces around every corner and marvel at simple enchanting architecture. As a part of your Europe vacation, we will arrange a private transfer from Pisa International Airport to your hotel in central Florence, allowing you to arrive in style!

Day 2: Discover one of Florence's most iconic treasures

Today, you will have the chance to admire one of Florence's most iconic treasures on a private guided tour of the Accademia Gallery. Here, with an expert art historian by your side, you can stand amazed at the glorious statue of “David” by Michelangelo. This famous statue is a symbol of the power and invincibility of the Florentine Republic and is an unmissable attraction on your Italy and Paris tour. The gallery is also home to a selection of other sculptures by Michelangelo, as well as other famous artists, making this a treasure trove of delights for those that enjoy fine art.

Day 3: VIP tour of the Uffizi Museum

One of Florence's most revered attractions is the glorious Uffizi Museum, which is home to an epic collection of artistic masterpieces that once belonged to the powerful Medici Family. We will treat you to a private guided tour of the museum, allowing you to appreciate and learn more about the masterpieces by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, Masaccio and many other famous artists. Day 4: Day trip to Pisa, with entry to the Leaning Tower

On your last day in Florence, you will have the chance to discover another of Tuscany's iconic landmarks with a group day trip to Pisa. In the city, you can enjoy an exterior guided tour of Piazza dei Miracoli, including the Cathedral and Baptistery, with a knowledgeable guide. As a finale to your day, you will have the unique chance to visit inside Pisa's glorious Leaning Tower, where you can experience the thrill of climbing the 294 steps of the spiral staircase to be rewarded with simply stunning views of the cityscape from the Bell Tower.

Siena

Day 5: Discover the taste of Tuscany in Siena

It’s time to say goodbye to the wonderful Florence as today you will travel into the heart of Tuscany for a night in the enchanting small city of Siena. After some time to settle in at your hotel, you can join a fun cooking class, allowing you to discover the secrets of Tuscan cuisine. As a part of the experience, you can learn how to prepare bruschetta, crostini and pici (thick, hand-rolled pasta originating from Siena) with a local chef. Afterwards, you can sit down with your new friends to toast your culinary efforts with a glass of local wine and enjoy a decadent dinner. (The group size of the cooking class is a maximum to 15 to keep this experience as intimate as possible.)

Venice

Day 6: Explore the Floating City of Venice

After just one night in Siena, it's time to say ""arrivederci" to Tuscany and travel to the magical city of Venice in North Italy. We include first-class train tickets in your package as standard, meaning you can recline in luxury and enjoy the scenery during your high-speed train transfer. On arrival in Venice, we will have a water taxi waiting to take you to your hotel on the main island, allowing you to arrive like a celebrity! After some time to settle in at your Venetian hotel, you will have the unique chance to discover this Floating City the way it was meant to be seen: from the water with a private gondola ride. During your 30-minute journey, you can recline in serenity as you admire the architecture that lines the banks of the Grand Canal and become enchanted by Venice's most evocative canals.

Day 7: Leisure day

This will be a full day for you to explore Venice at leisure.

Rome

Day 8: Step back in time in Rome

After enjoying the enchanting architecture of Venice, it's time to explore a different side to Italy with 3 nights in the Eternal City of Rome. We will immerse you in the history of this iconic Italian city from the moment you step foot in this famous place with a private guided tour of "Ancient Rome", featuring the Fori Imperiali, Roman Forum and Augustus Domus. The finale of this VIP tour will be the epic and glorious Colosseum, where you will enjoy special access to the upper tier and fascinating underground level. During the tour, your expert historian guide will entertain you with stories of the Colosseum's characters and explain this wonder's construction.

Day 9: Naples and Pompeii tour

Continuing our journey through Roman history, today you will have the chance to discover the lost city of Pompeii - one of the world's most important archeological sites and a place where you can take an unprecedented step back in time. Departing from Rome, your first stop will be Naples, where you can enjoying a walking tour of the main attractions, including Piazza del Plebiscito, Piazza del Municipio, the Gallery Umberto I, the Royal Palace and the San Carlo Opera House. After free time for lunch, this group day trip continues to Pompeii. Here, you will have a two-hour tour of the site while your guide tells you about the city's destruction in 79 AD following a catastrophic volcanic eruption that buried the city. As a part of this thought-provoking experience, you will see the wonderfully preserved excavations, including murals, pottery and human casts, to give you an in-depth glance back to Roman times.

Day 10: Discover Vatican City and Rome's classic architecture

On your final day in Rome, we have a full itinerary for you to ensure you see all the main attractions during your Italy and Paris tour. In the morning, you will join our expert tour guide on a wonderful journey to the world’s smallest sovereign state and one of the most important stretches of land in Western history as you cross the border into Vatican City. You will start your adventure at the door of St Peter’s Basilica, one of the largest religious buildings in the world and a crowning example of Renaissance architecture, where, once inside, you can discover spectacular art from Michelangelo and Bernini. After enjoying the delights of St Peter’s, you’ll enter the Vatican Museums, which are filled with rare artefacts and priceless masterpieces, including ancient Greek statues and Renaissance frescoes that are simply waiting for you to discover them. At this point you may feel that the Vatican couldn’t get any more glorious but we have saved a grand finale! As you cast your gaze to the heavens you will witness the unmatched genius of Michelangelo and his sensational Sistine Chapel. This is a building unlike anything else on Earth, so be sure to take some time to savor it as your detailed tour of the Vatican comes to an unforgettable end!

Paris

Day 11: Welcome to Paris!

And so to Paris! This Europe vacation includes an internal flight from Italy to France, as well as airport transfers, meaning you don't have to worry about any of the travel details when you book this Italy and Paris tour. On arrival at your centrally located Paris hotel, you will have plenty of time to settle in before our private guide greets you with a warm Parisian welcome and takes you on a four-hour tour of the main attractions. As a part of the experience, you will see outstanding monuments, such as Opera Garnier, the 17th-century Place Vendôme and the Palais Royal, before following the Seine River to the Ile de La Cite, where you will make your first stop to see the splendid Notre Dame Cathedral. The tour then continues with the Orsay Museum, Concorde Square (the largest square in Europe where the French Revolution took the life of the King and the Queen), the Champs Elysées (the most famous avenue in the world), the Arc de Triomphe, the Grand Palais, the Invalides and the Eiffel Tower (exterior only), where you will stop for photos as an iconic finale to your Paris day tour.

Day 12: Tour of Versailles

Today, you will visit the famous Palace of Versailles on a small group tour that will leave you with precious memories of your Italy and Paris tour. Inside this iconic place, you will have the chance to see Louis XIV's suite, the much-photographed Hall of Mirrors, and the apartment of the Dauphin and Dauphine. Outside, you can immerse yourself in the peace and serenity of the expansive gardens and watch the water dancing in the impressive fountains.

Day 13: VIP Louvre tour with dinner at The 58 Eiffel Tower

As a special finale to your Italy and Paris tour, we will arrange a dedicated tour of the Musée du Louvre, perhaps the most famous art museum in the world. For first-time visitors, this museum can be overwhelming, with its maze of galleries and thousands of artistic works. So, we take the stress out of navigating the museum with this three-hour private tour. As a part of your experience, your guide will show you the most impressive pieces of art for a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience (note that the entry fee is not included and should be paid directly to the museum). In the evening of your final day in Paris, we will treat you to an unforgettable night that combines two classic Parisian experiences: exquisite French food and panoramic views from the Eiffel Tower. We will reserve a table for you at the acclaimed The 58 Eiffel Tower restaurant, allowing you to savor a gourmet, four-course meal of classic French cuisine served with your choice of red or white wine, all while taking in spectacular views of the City of Lights.

Day 14: And so your dream Italy and Paris tour reaches its end

The morning sees you leaving France on your flight from Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport back home. The sights, sounds, tastes and experiences of the past weeks will no doubt flood over you as you enjoy the luxury of a private transfer to the airport, leading you to smile in remembrance of times past and to plan for your inevitable return visit!
